At Dartmouth Pride, our mission is to be a local Pride for our local LGBTQ+ community.
At Dartmouth Pride, we are a Pride for all. We're here to support new same-sex couples in town, celebrate the opening of LGBTQ+ businesses, accompany our friends in the community on their journey to self-discovery as they transition into their true selves,
and offer a helping hand to parents supporting their LGBTQ+ children who have recently come out.
We are a Pride for all, committed to serving the diverse needs of our Dartmouth community.

June is Pride Month—a worldwide celebration of the LGBTQ+ community. It began with the NYC Stonewall riots in 1969 and has grown into a vibrant celebration of progress. This month is all about equality, acceptance, education of LGBTQ+ history, and honouring the accomplishments of people within our community. While it is a time when we celebrate, it is also a time to raise awareness about specific issues we face and to carry the torch of our brothers and sisters who came before us to continue the fight for equal rights, social justice, and respect for all.
While Pride celebrations around the world take on many forms from marches to corporate parades, concerts, and shows, Pride can also be a simple gathering of a small LGBTQ+ community in a rural town in Devon. This is where we find ourselves at Dartmouth Pride.
Launched in 2021, Dartmouth Pride has created a welcoming space for our local LGBTQ+ community to connect. Dartmouth is a place of kindness and diversity, filled with remarkable individuals from all walks of life. We aim to foster an even stronger sense of community, sharing the spirit of unity with future generations through our humble events.

This year is our 6th anniversary of Dartmouth Pride on 27 June 2026! We're thrilled and excited as we plan to once again have our celebrations in the Royal Avenue Gardens right in the heart of Dartmouth!
Music & drinks & vendors... oh my! More details on all our festival activities coming soon!
Whether you identify as part of our LGBTQIA+ community or stand as an ally supporting us, we eagerly look forward to seeing and welcoming you at this year’s Pride!

Dartmouth Pride 2026:
27 June 2026
See you there!

We are so thankful to all of our amazing sponsors this year! Without their help, the ability to grow and care for our community wouldn’t be possible! So a huge thank you to everyone who helped up make this year’s Pride possible!
A Note from our Director:
We hope your 2026 has had a lovely start! As we head into Spring and hopefully towards some better weather, we are once again asking Dartmouth: Will you help us Sponsor our 2026 Dartmouth Pride Festival?
With your support last year, we made the MASSIVE move to host our Pride festival in the Royal Avenue Gardens! With this move, we saw our attendance go from 250 people in 2024 to around 850 in 2025. We could not have done that without your support. No one in our organisation makes a salary or takes administrative fees so know that 100% of your donation went to our musical entertainment, festival fees, and operational running costs. We believe that our Pride should be free to everyone. No matter who you are or where you come from, we want to continue to make our Pride Festival accessible to everyone in our Dartmouth LGBTQIA+ community. Last year, the UK saw several majors Prides, both up country and even one as close as Plymouth, cancel due to lack of funding and we 100% understand their struggle. So we really do rely on your support for our event.
As we would like our festival to support the town as much a possible, we have made the decision to once again not to have any food trucks at Pride this year. We hope this encourages people attending to explore Dartmouth during the day to find options for both lunch & dinner while our Pride is running. Just like last year, we plan to also use Bandstand announcements during our Pride festival to encourage people looking for a meal towards businesses that take part in our Pride Sponsorship as at least a Town Ally. Several businesses said they very much felt a boost after these announcements. We’d also be happy to have take away menus out on our tables to encourage people to support our local allies. Several festival goers even reported walking an extra 4/5 minutes to purchase from a Pride sponsor instead of buying from businesses across the street from the gardens who choose not to participate in 2025 Sponorship. So your sponsorship really does matter to our community.
Last year, several businesses reported after Pride that they had business from LGBTQ+ customers several months after our Pride becuase of their 2025 sponsorship. To help boost this show of support for our LGBTQ+ community, we’ve decided to offer 2026 Sponsorship Window Clings so your business might showcase your support through sponsorship all year long.
Our main event this year will be our 2026 Dartmouth Pride Festival, once again in the Royal Avenue Gardens. We will have our now annual Pride Walk and Pride Sail from Dartmouth Castle to the Royal Avenue Gardens and plan for a day of fun with music in the Bandstand with plenty of celebrations! We of course have other events on the day and throughout the month planned and will be announcing our full Pride Month activities soon.
While we work to keep Dartmouth Pride local, we need help.
Your support & contributions will enable us to keep our annual Pride free to everyone. Your generous donation will fund our mission as well as our Pride festival, flyers, flags, websites, and other running costs.
Thank you for your support Dartmouth,
- Jonathan, Director of Dartmouth Pride UK CIC
